So bedienen Sie Ihre Zimmerheizung

How to Use Your Room Heating

Your room is heated by an infrared panel with a plug-in thermostat. It only takes two buttons to operate – here’s the quick guide.

Königshaus infrared heating panel with plug-in thermostat
On/Off – the round button on the far left, with the power symbol
▲ / ▼ – arrow buttons on the right, use these to set the temperature
Please don’t press Set / OK – the schedule is already set up for you

1. Turn it on

Briefly press the On/Off button. The display lights up – the panel is now ready to use.

2. Choose your temperature

Press ▲ to make it warmer, ▼ to make it cooler. The chosen temperature shows up on the display right away – no need to confirm. Most people find 20–22 °C (68–72 °F) comfortable.

3. Sit back

The panel now heats on its own: once it reaches your chosen temperature, it switches off automatically and heats again only once the room cools down a bit. There’s nothing more for you to do.

4. Turn it off

When you check out or want to air the room: briefly press the On/Off button and the display goes dark.

Heating efficiently & sustainably

20–22 °C is plentyEvery degree less noticeably saves energy – going warmer barely makes the room cosier.

Lower it at night instead of switching off2–3 degrees down with ▼ is enough. Switching off completely lets the walls cool down – reheating then costs more.

Quick full blast instead of tiltingOpen the window fully for 5 minutes, then close it again. A window left tilted open constantly lets heat escape.

Keep the door closedKeeps the warmth in your room instead of heating the hallway or bathroom too.

Infrared warms you directlyIt heats walls & furniture rather than just the air – so even a lower temperature already feels cosy.

Switch off when you leaveA quick tap of the On/Off button if you’re out for a while or checking out.

Good to know

Don’t cover itPlease don’t place clothing, towels, or similar items on or in front of the panel.

The schedule is pre-setThe Set/OK button changes the schedule – there’s no need for that, just use On/Off and the arrow buttons.
